Verizon launches Epix HD movie channel

US based telecom giant Verizon has announced the launch of their high definition movie channel named Epix.

This channel would deliver movies on demand both on television and on the web.

It launches on the company’s FiOS TV service and is available online at epixhd.com.

This service is free for access this weekend. It would cost USD 10 per month.

The company spoke about Epix: “We’re taking the lead in delivering the richest and best entertainment to movie-lovers, on whatever platform they choose.”

The partners in this venture include Viacom, Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lionsgate.
