US Congress keeping track of developments in NASA

More news coming in proving how important the upcoming Space Shuttle launch is for the United States. NASA is already geared towards making the launch as safe as possible for the crew and the people watching the launch. Even the US Congress is keeping a close eye on the Space Organization hoping that nothing goes wrong at the last moment.

This was made public by the Republican Senator Mel Martinez who said that the Congress is closely watching NASA officials as the space shuttle prepares to return to flight. The NASA has a tough job in its hand to satisfy all the relevant authorities and the public with regards to the safety of the mission.

A team of senators visited the Kennedy Space Center for the same purpose. Included in the team were Republican Senator Mel Martinez, U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon and House space subcommittee chairperson Ken Calvert.
