Apple continues with AT&T with the iPad
Market analysts were expecting Apple to announce the end of their exclusive deal with AT&T at today’s event.
Apple launched the iPad. It would have versions with support for 3G networks.
Apple pretty much disappointed the media gathered at the event by announcing that customers can opt for special priced 3G connections with the iPad.
AT&T is their partner for iPad as well. They have two packages on offer…
USD 15 for 250MB data transfer per month…
USD 30 for unlimited data transfer per month…
Apple further announced that Apple iPad owners would get free access to AT&T wireless hotspots with these packages.
The good news is that the device would be sold unlocked. Customers do not have to enter into a long term agreement with AT&T. They can prepay for monthly packages.
