Hyundai offering huge discounts on Sonata

When you have a brand new model of a car ready for sale and older model cars are lying in the inventory… you just want to get those sold in the market. And for this, automobile companies offer huge discounts to the probable customers. Hyundai is one such company, which is currently looking forward to getting the stocks of its older generation Sonata cleared.

To get the new generation Sonata out in the market, Hyundai Dealers are offering huge discounts of Rs. 2 lakhs for the Sonata S20 and Rs. 3.5-4 lakhs for the Sonata V6 2.7 liter. The two cars are priced at a rate of Rs. 13 lakhs and the V6 at Rs. 16 lakhs respectively.

Recently, Toyota did something similar when they were due to launch their new model Innova in the market. Qualis was a best seller in its class but the company decided to discontinue it in favor of the new model. As a result, discounts worth Rs. 50,000-60,000 were offered on Qualis.

Some other car models to have gone similar way are the old generation models of Honda City, Maruti Esteem, and the GM’s Opel Astra.
