Hyundai to offer US model of Sonata in India
As the South Korean Automobile giant get its stock of the older generation Sonata cleared out, it would start offering to the Indian customers, the US made model of the next generation Sonata. The new car is expected to help the company recapture the imagination of the customers looking for a luxury car in the 10-20 lakh segment.
Hyundai Motor also happens to be the seventh-largest seller of vehicles in the US. It just spent a massive USD 1.1 billion to establish an automobile factory in Montgomery, Alabama. The plans are to produce 150,000 cars this year. They would be enhancing the capacity to tough a massive 300,000 units in 2007.
The aim is to overtake DaimlerChrysler AG as the world’s fifth-largest carmaker. And they would be celebrating this success with the new Sonata in India.
