Hewlett-Packard launches L2000 Notebook
Hewlett-Packard in collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices announced a new laptop range with plans to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The model is named HP Special Edition L2000 Notebook and it comes with the Livestrong logo along with a copy of Armstrong’s autograph on the keyboard.
The notebook is powered by an AMD’s Turion 64 and feature enhanced battery life. For each laptop sold of this model, the company would be contributing $50 to the foundation. AMD itself had shown their commitment to the Lance Armstrong Foundation two years back. The company would also be including a yellow Livestrong wristband and yellow stereo ear buds with every notebook.
Also planned are donations of these laptops to the LAF-funded cancer survivorship centers in the United States. These would help out LAF’s activities in the country, which includes programs like research and education. Lance Armstrong is a legend in the sport of cycling and is known for his fight against cancer. He is the running force behind the foundation being supported by these two organizations.
