Google Chrome OS launch on December 7?
Google Chrome team has invited media to an event scheduled for December 7.
This is a pretty solid hint that Google Chrome OS is nearing launch.
The reports in the market claim that Google is likely to launch their own branded netbook model powered by the first public release of Google Chrome OS.
Earlier reports had stated that this release would probably be beta in nature and a stable release would take place early next year.
But knowing Google, the updates can be delivered on a daily/weekly basis so the customer has nothing to worry about.
Google Chrome OS is not the first OS optimized for the cloud (web). Jolicloud has already released their own netbook model powered by their own customized Ubuntu based operating system.
