Google Nexus S is now official
Google and Samsung have announced the latest Nexus branded Android smartphone.
Google Nexus S goes on sale in the US market later this month.
It is pretty similar to Samsung Galaxy S in nature so there are no major surprises in terms of hardware specifications.
The great news is that it would come preloaded with Android 2.3 which is the latest edition of this mobile platform.

The phone features a 1GHz Cortex A8-based Hummingbird processor. There were rumors that this phone would feature a dual core processor… Did not happen.
It also features an average five megapixel camera similar to the Google Nexus One. We are not impressed.
But it does include support for Near field communication. Android 2.3 is the first edition to feature native support for NFC. Not very clear how this feature would be used in the real world.
The phone would be sold for USD 200 through T-Mobile with a contract. You can also buy it for USD 530 without a contract unlocked.
