Microsoft Bing set to get integrated Facebook recommendations

This week, Microsoft would add the much awaited Facebook Recommendations to their search engine Bing.

Users would get to find out links that have been shared or liked by their Facebook friends. Of course, they need to be logged on to their Facebook account for this to work.

In general, web pages that are popular on Facebook would get priority listing on the Bing search engine.

Google of course has a similar system already in place. They give preferences to links shared by your friends on various social networks like Twitter and Buzz. They also have the recently launched Google +1 platform that changes the positioning of web pages on your search results.

The company is nearing the launch of dedicated buttons for web publishers to add to their websites. They are also likely to soon launch browser extensions for you to +1 web pages you like.
