Users of PayPal seems to be rejoiced about Google Rumors
Google seems to be taking some interesting steps. While the competition in the form of Microsoft and Yahoo! work hard on getting their search engine strategies sorted out, Google have found a new market to enter and beat the hell out of competition. Online Payment System is where they are thinking of entering next and their competition in this market is none other than eBay’s PayPal.
This seems to be good news for the existing users of the PayPal service as they like the idea of a competition for PayPal. User comments on an earlier news story has somewhat confirmed it. The biggest complaint from existing users is the high commission PayPal charges for each transactions and the crappy customer support the company has.
Google has garnered an impeccable reputation in the market with their range of software products and online services. They cater millions of users around the world but still manage to give decent support. I have personally received replies to my custom queries, which is quite surprising considering the large scale Google now operates on.
With PayPal, the service has been good to me. However, I am disappointed with their support system. Finding answers to specific questions is a tedious job and support queries takes way too long to be answered. Most of the times the answers are directly out of the online documents and are off the topic of discussion. Maybe, the upcoming competition from Google would help raise the standard of the service.
