Microsoft appoints Jean-Philippe Courtois as International President
World’s largest software developing company Microsoft has announced their plans to promote Jean-Philippe Courtois to president of its international operations and senior vice president of the overall company. He would be leading the company in the quest of achieving growth of all the units of Microsoft around the world.
Courtois would be managing international sales, marketing, and services. He was until now handling the position as chief executive of the company’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, or EMEA. However, he would be continuing to report to group vice president of worldwide sales, marketing, and services, Kevin Johnson.
Kevin has been given additional responsibilities for operations and corporate information technology. And Neil Holloway would be replacing Courtois at his current position. Neil is currently corporate vice president of sales, marketing and services for EMEA. These appointments comes as Microsoft is preparing for the launch of their much awaited next generation gaming console Xbox 360 later this year and Longhorn Operating System next year.
Microsoft in other news also launched the first beta of Monad Command Shell yesterday, which is now available on BetaPlace.
