Cisco sees improvement in all the markets
Cisco CEO has reported that the company is seeing improved performances in all their targeted markets with increased spending in the information technology. John Chambers said in a statement: “The recent trends in terms of, quote, ‘sentiment’ are more positive than three months ago. I think IT is back. Network IT is back in a big way because it enables the other segments of ITâ€. He was talking to Reuters News Agency.
One of the fields from where Cisco has seen massive improvements is the VoIP market where they have sold more than 5 million Internet phones. They had predicted that as the technology improves; people would be using the Internet more and more for making phone calls. Chambers also said that the increased attendance of the user conference shows that the people are more interested than ever in data networks and their rising intelligence.
The company also launched a new technology called Application Oriented Networking, which the company says make computer networks smarter, faster, and more secure by making the equipment that directs data link better with the software applications that use it. The company showed an improvement in the quarterly revenues by almost 10% to USD 6.2 billion.
