Auto companies in Gurgaon facing worker’s strike
Gurgaon can be considered as the auto hub of India with factories of Honda, Hero Honda, and Maruti Udyog based here. However, the latest news in is not good for the auto sector as worker strikes have led to downfall of production and loss of profits. All of the affected companies are trying to arrange alternative arrangements to restore productivity.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is one of the biggest sufferers where the strikes started last month. The company officials claim that the strike has cost them losses worth Rs. 100 crores already and they are mounting everyday. A company representative said in a statement: “We have been able to scale back our production to 600 units a day and are confident of increasing this figure to 1,000 units soon.â€
The regular production of the company is in the excess of 2000 vehicles per day. The company has around 1900 workers of which only around 38% are working in the current situation. The company official added: “The strike commenced after a few workers were suspended and dismissed for creating trouble and damaging products at the plant.â€
Many more involved companies especially auto component makers are affected by these strikes in the region.

The strike is must. How one company like Honda(Gurgaon) can suspend his employees? There should be equal share of worker and employer in company. No one can suspend each other from company. Money and labour (Hard work ) both are key part of industry. What honda did is completely wrong.
