Honda has big plans for India
Honda Motor Company Limited has announced plans to double the production capabilities of its plants in the next 5 years. The company currently produces around 30,000 units. Due to the massive demand for their Honda City model, they aim to increase it to 50,000 units a year. The company expects to achieve a production capabilities of 1,00,000 vehicles by the end of this decade.
The Honda Motor President and CEO, Takeo Fukui gave this information to the press on Wednesday. He was addressing the media during the conference where he announced the Company’s three-year mid-term plan for its worldwide operations. The company has two successful models in the form of Honda City and Honda Accord in the Indian market. And they are on their way to launch the luxurious Honda Civic model by next year.
Fukui also spoke about the upcoming new model of the very popular Honda Civic: “The all-new Civic, developed under our approach of creating products to meet the needs of local customers, is a true global car with sales of more than 600,000 units annually in 160 countries in the world and with production in six regions.”
For his company, Fukui had this to say: “While introducing advanced power train production technologies in Asia, Honda will pursue high quality worldwide and utilize its flexible, complementary global supply networkâ€. In other news from Honda, they have just announced plans to publicly display for the first time, their under development HondaJet airplane which they are hoping would someday enter the business plane market.

Guys,
Honda Civic will be launched within the next 4 months, that is before August 06.
Most important update is that, the design is that of American one and not that of European style. This is disappointing because, the European model is chic, more contemporary and it has a very bold fashion statement and is a future ready car. But the American model is just like your corolla. Just a mediocre design.
Pricing is expected between 11 to 13 Lakhs.
They will have VTEC engine for sure and may have iDSI variants also.

I almost purchased a new car from a good company, but when I heard that honda is launching a new car civic i poseponed my programe and now waiting since last 3 months and Iam very desperaite to bye civic, previously i was owing a honda city.
