Honda India ask workers to resume work back

Having seen two days of intense violence and tensions in the Gurgaon district, the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has now appealed to their workers to resume duties in their factory as soon as possible. The company however maintained that the employees who have been suspended would not be taken back unless they are cleared in their inquiry.

Yesterday saw intense violence in the district of Gurgaon as the protesting workers union had a huge clash with the enforcement agencies resulting in heavy damage to public property. The issue has also been raised in the parliament with the opposition parties as expected demanding the resignation of the state government over this trivial issue.

Hundreds of company workers are said to have sustained injuries near the company’s plant at Manesar near here in a clash with the local police. The spokesperson for Honda said that the company is committed to provide the best medical facilities to their staff and have taken care of contacting all the hospitals where the injured workers are admitted.

A spokesperson for the company said in a statement from the company: “All our employees are covered under a cashless transaction scheme and we have already spoken to hospital authorities and doctors in this regard.”
