Honda collaborating with GM and BMW on Hybrids

Toyota is the leaders when it comes to developing technology and vehicles for Hybrids. Their Toyota Prius is a bestseller. However, they have just dissolved a possible collaboration with the world’s largest manufacturer of automobiles General Motors over technology sharing on Hybrids. As a result, the company is now looking towards the other Japanese auto giant Honda for a possible alliance.

As per a reported published yesterday, Honda is collaborating with BMW and GM on this technology. The companies plan to standardize technologies so they can sell fuel cell-powered vehicles around the world. The technology is nature friendly, as it does not generate pollution as compared to traditional technologies powering the vehicles on the roads today.

The automakers are already betting that fuel cell technology would be powering the next generation automobiles. These three auto giants are collaborating hoping that it would help them cut costs and generate the technology fast. Toyota on their part are going alone for the time being.
