Yahoo! launches audio search beta

We are used to seeing new services so regularly from Google. Now Yahoo! is doing a good job of keeping the search engine people busy with their new services. The latest in this series is a beta of the company’s audio search engine. The company just announced plans to introduce news feeds in their Video Searching capabilities and now we can search for audio files on the net through these new services from the most popular portal on the web.

The search engine can search various kinds of audio files on the net including music downloads, Podcasts, newscasts, speeches and interviews. The company is investing heavily in this field as it is expected to bring in lot of revenues in the coming times. With Podcasting being called the new generation radio, the capabilities of finding such broadcasts on the Internet is surely a great facility the company is providing its users.

Yahoo! would be integrating this service with its other search engines and online applications. The search engine would be added to its already vast range of search related online services, which includes video and image searches. It is also inviting independent broadcasters to submit their audio feeds to Yahoo! Audio Search Engine for broader access to the media to the online web user.

The company is also adding this search engine capability to its beta Yahoo My Web 2.0 service, which enables the user to save his searches for future access and sharing with friends on the net through RSS feeds.
