Stephen Landry is the new marketing chief at Dodge
DaimlerChrysler AG’s Chrysler Group has big plans to impress the auto market in the United States in the coming times. They are planning to launch some crucial vehicles in this segment which is the most popular brand in the DaimlerChrysler AG stable. And they have just announced the appointment of a new marketing chief for Dodge in the form of Stephen Landry, a 23-year company veteran from Canada.
He would be assuming his new responsibilities from September 1 and would be carrying forward the work from Darryl Jackson, who will take over Landry’s post as head of the automaker’s Great Lakes sales region. This is just one of the latest decisions taken by the company, which is swapping some key positional personals.
The company last month named CEO Dieter Zetsche as the new chairman of DaimlerChrysler with Tom LaSorda accepting the top job at Chrysler. DaimlerChrysler claims that these steps are just part of the normal rotation of executives designed to give them hands-on experience in various operations. Dodge is working hard on reviving its passenger car business with new vehicles such as the 2006 Dodge Charger sedan and at least two new Dodge cars scheduled to be introduced next year.
