Hyundai launches the new Sonata Embera in India

The maker of the second largest number of automobiles in the Indian market Hyundai are back with the updated version of their flagship luxury automobile Sonata. Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday launched the latest edition of the Sonata car codenamed the Sonata Embera. The automobile comes loaded with a new 2.4-liter VTVT engine, international styling, luxurious interiors, and high-end safety features.

To bare eyes, it kind of resembles the styling of the Honda Accord. However, Hyundai have made sure that the car has its own special appeal and styling. The company has priced the car at a competitive price point of Rs 13.69 lakh for manual transmission and Rs 14.59 lakh for automatic transmission. It comes powered by a high-power 2.4-Liter, four cylinder, all-aluminum Variable Timing Valve Train engine, with a power of 165 ps @ 5800 rpm, ensures quick response and robust acceleration.

With a maximum available torque of 23.6 KgM at 4,250 rpm, the car also offers loads of torque at low ends of the rpm-band and quick pick-up. The redesigned lightweight engine block adds to the advantages of the car and helps it improve the fuel efficiency. The car also supports an impressive ground clearance of 170 mm. the looks are improved by the sporty twin exhausts and large 16” alloy wheels.

Hyundai has also taken care about the safety features on the vehicle. It comes fully loaded with several active and passive safety systems like Anti-lock Braking mechanism (ABS), dual front airbags, and seat belts with pre-tensioner. The interiors are also impressive with two-tone interiors – done in beige and black complimenting superbly designed seats, tilt and telescopic steering, a dash of wood finish on the front panel and a whole lot of utility features.
