Motorola to launch products to help parents monitor their kids
Tech giant and the second largest maker of the mobile phones in the world Motorola has now plans to develop mobile phones, which would help the parents to keep track of their kid’s whereabouts and even, censor obscene content on their phones. The company is already involved with the makers of Macintosh computers Apple to develop phones with support for iTunes enabling the users to purchase and download songs.
Chairman and CEO Edward Zander said was talking to media personals: “Mobile phones today are more like television when I was a kid. There is a way to keep it secure.” He was visiting his company’s software development center in the tech city of Bangalore. He also said: “While parents need to adapt to the emerging youth culture surrounding mobile phones, adults are right to be concerned about what their kids are listening to, watching, and reading.â€
The company’s new products would offer facilities using which parents can keep track of the whereabouts of their kids and install monitoring software on the mobiles to check the activities of their kids. The company’s Indian division work on security features, including access control and data protection. Motorola employees 2,900 engineers in India.
