Toyota considering entering into used car segment
Toyota is one of the fastest growing auto companies in the world. The way they have taken on giants like Ford and General Motors in the United States is impressive indeed. The competition runs into hiding whenever Toyota enters a new market. However, Indian market is yet to see their assault as the company has launched products aiming for a niche market and is yet to enter the much-anticipated small car segment.
The company has in India some excellent products in the form of Toyota Innova, Toyota Camry, and Toyota Corolla. Toyota is now looking into entering the very popular used car segment in the Indian market. A Toyoshima, managing director of Toyota Motor Corporation said in a statement: “Entering into used car market in India is one of our business ideas. But we would decide on it only after completely studying the market potential for used cars in Indiaâ€.
Maruti, Ford, Hyundai, General Motors, and Mercedes are already present in this market with their respective products and make huge money on selling second hand cars. It also gives the users a better way to get the second hand cars of their choices with assured quality assurance and sometimes even a warranty. The market is growing rapidly in the Indian market and is expected to match the sales of brand new cars soon.
The company is rumored to be considering a small car for the Indian market and this would mark an entry of the world’s second largest automobile maker in the biggest auto segment in the Indian market.
