Apple discontinues Mac Mini test program
Macintosh maker somewhat surprised the media and the market when they launched the Mac Mini test program. It enabled the interested users into getting a Mac Mini for testing and if they did not like the computer, they had the option to return it to the company without giving any explanation for their decision.
The move was targeted directly at the Microsoft Windows based users who were hesitant of testing this new platform for them before making the complete switchover. the program was expected to be a very costly affair for the company considering they could not sold the returned machines in the market at the regular prices.
Not surprisingly, the company has already pulled back this offer just 2 days after launching the program. The online section which explained the program does not exist anymore and the users are forwarded to the online stores of the company. This promotion was originally destined to run till the end of next month.
Guess, Apple realized that it was foolish to invite users to get a free testing of their machines for such a long period. Knowing the quantity of windows users out their who would love to get their hands on Mac (albeit for a few days only), the program was destined to become a failure…
