Audi, VW, and Porsche to co-develop hybrid technologies
Germany based auto-giants Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche has announced plans to co-develop hybrid engines for their automobiles. The global market is seeing ever-increasing prices of fossil fuels and the popularity of hybrid vehicles like Toyota Prius and Honda Insight means that the consumers have developed a liking for them.
The three companies have not released all the details on their collaborative plans. There is also no information released on when these products running on their new technologies would be available in the market. However, Audi has clarified that they would be taking the major initiative in this project. The project was announced at the on going International Auto Show in Frankfurt.
We have seen a lot of news from all the major companies in the past couple of days related to the development of these hybrid vehicles. Honda and Ford are displaying their latest hybrids at this meet and recently, BMW joined hands with General Motors Corp. and DaimlerChrysler AG in their own separate collaboration.
These hybrid vehicles use advanced technologies to combine two engines running on two different fuel sources. The advantage is that the efficiency of the car increases while the performance is not compromised by much.

its about time! Hybrid and Hydrogen cars are the hot items of the future. We have to get out of the mid east and this is the way to go for our energy needs! I am looking foward to this and will!!!! buy a hybrid or hydrogen car.
