Citroen in India

A part of the PSA group, which also includes a past player in the Indian market, Citroen, is now considering making an entry into the Indian market. They are already the second largest automaker in the France and now want to play a role in one of the fastest growing auto markets in the world.

The officials of the company confirmed that they are already looking at the potential dealer base. A company official said: “We have already talked to a few dealers and we are very happy with the outcome, but we have not decided a particular date or model”. They are expected to make an entry into the Indian market through a completely built unit (CBU) unit.

The company has some nice products, which can be sold in this market and is most likely to bring in its C6 first. This car provides competition to the fabulous Mercedes E-Class car and would target the same segment here in India.
