Google adds Gmail to Personal Homepage
Just updated on the Google Gmail What’s new page is the news that Google has now added Gmail notification on the Personal Homepage section of their service. Users can customize their own Google homepage by going to this URI. Now, Google enables the users to add their Gmail inbox to this page letting them access their web mail from this centralized location.
We checked this feature of the Google after quite sometime and found some nice additions including the facility to add a customized news channel by specifying RSS feeds of websites. Therefore, you can have your cake and eat it too. Apparently, the company still allows only a selected content channels to be added to this section and makes up for it by adding RSS support.
The feature was kind of buggy to use on the Opera web browser but worked flawlessly on the Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. We have gotten used to this fact. However, they are trying hard to make it as flexible as possible for all the web users. We just wish that Google made all their product offerings more accessible as you can get lost on all that they have to offer!
