It makes sense because its their business to try to sell their software and appeal to those using Firefox or Mac. Truth is I use Linux and Firefox with no anti-virus software whatsoever and I have never had problems with viruses, spyware, etc.. like I did with Windows and IE while running anti-virus software. I think using anti-virus software gives a false sense of security. A major plus of Firefox is that it is not built into the OS like IE is with Windows, this is a huge security flaw.
