Yamaha India launches WoS Yamaha Motor India Sales

The Indian subsidiary of the Yamaha Motors, Yamaha India has launched a wholly owned subsidiary (WoS) - Yamaha Motor India Sales. This unit would be watching the sales, marketing, and after-sales service fields for the company struggling to compete against the likes of Honda, Hero Honda, and Bajaj in the Indian market.

H Yanagi, CEO and managing director of Yamaha Motor India said in a statement on this event: “India is an important market for us, and we plan to consolidate our position here. The new company will enhance our business activity in the country.” The company has suffered ever since they had to discontinue their hugely popular RX100 model in this domestic market.

This new unit would start functioning from the beginning of the October month and would be headed by T Maeda, director (marketing) and Atul Gupta, head (sales and marketing). The company has currently products like Crux, City Cruiser, C5, and Fazer in the Indian market in the various segments.

    Hi Guys,

I am too big fan of Yamaha. I have always tried to push yamaha against all the bikes. RX 100 such a wonderful bike. Peoples expections are very high. But why Yamaha is not fulfeeling it. I hope Gladiator should fulfeel the peoples dream. It should be different than other bikes.

Hope Yamaha launches early. If they launch in April, it would be great but they launch in may or june, people will think about Rain. They won’t go for it.

Please yamaha launch it earliest we are waiting.

    Thanks

    Amol

Yamaha is going to launch gladiator with 125 cc power. Everyone who has seen the magnificent gladiator 150 cc is going to be thorougly disappointed with the fact that 150 cc will not be relased in India.
Gladiator 125 is going to be priced at around 48,000/-

I know what YAMAHA was in RX’s season, but she has failed to deliever since CRUX, ENTICER, LIBERO days,…
B… U…. T… THE G L A D I A T O R IS GONNA RULE EVERY CRUISING LOVER, IT REALLY LOOKS STUNNING, IT WILL DELIEVER TO EVERY INDIAN THAT WHAT YAMAHA TRULY MEANS…!

  23. basit | May 11th, 2006 at 5:36 pm

yamaha is damagin its image n goodwill by launching average bikes, i own a yamaha rx 100 a unmatched bike n if yamaha want to win back its no. 1 place from the dirty bajajs n hero hondas it wll have to produce an unmatched bike but till now they have really dissapointed its fans n even gladiator type bikes will never bail it out, man they cant feel the pulse of the youth of india. i will always stick to my rx 100 which is still unmatched by any bike so wat if its average is very less atleast one can show off n win races against cbzs n pulsars

    YAMAHA Rules
    Nothing can stop it !

  25. ChandraPrakash | May 11th, 2006 at 10:10 pm

I like to give a suggestion here that everyone knows the standard of Yamaha, reliabilty and the Power of the Machine which no other bike cant do but the utimate thing is that they have to understand one thing about the Indians need i.e; Indians need Speed, looks, mileage, reliability and also the price should be resonable if they get that they are satisfied. So why dont YAMAHA work on this and build there sales.I want YAMAHA to do that and increase their sales in INDIA as they did with YAMAHA RX 100,135.

  26. ChandraPrakash | May 11th, 2006 at 10:13 pm

I have YAMAhA RX 135 and YAMAHA RD 350 ,i am a great fan of YAMAHA,i like the power which the machine has no other machine can compete.
