Franklin Jones is the new president of Intel Technology India Private Limited

The Indian branch of the world’s largest personal computers microprocessors Intel has appointed Franklin Jones as their new president. He would be taking over the reins of the company from the October 25 and handle Intel’s relationships with governments both at centre and state levels. He is also expected to play an important role in dealing with government entities, site management, education initiatives, and university engagements in India.

Also part of his portfolio would be to look after research activities in Intel India Development centre in Bangalore. He is taking over from the current company president Ketan Sampat who completes his tenure at the head this November. He would now be moving to the United States for his further assignments.

Franklin Jones said that his aim would be “to expand on the current capabilities and continue to invest in areas that Intel has been doing so besides expanding the company in areas it needed”. He is expected to remain on this position for at least 2 years and believes that his mandate included people and leadership development. This includes training Intel employees in taking up new roles and development of skills to cater to growing needs.
