This topic is extremely interesting. In watching the development and rise of legal music downloads on the Internet, I believe the increase of legal music downloads can be attributed to these two main factors:

1) Significant improvement of Legal music download sites over the last few years.

2) Fear of RIAA Copy-right Infringement Lawsuit risks.

It’s hard to say which factor is more important to the average music consumer online. Many music downloaders are fearless of the RIAA. However, the numbers don’t lie and more people than ever are choosing to get legal downloads then ever before.

One thing is for sure, because of the Internet, it’s never been easier to get the music you want.
