Apple on the rocks: another press conference on October 19

It looks like Apple Computers is on fire. The company just recently launched the Motorola Rokr mobile phone with iTunes support. It was accompanied by the fantastic Apple iPod nano and just a couple of days ago, the company launched the awesome Apple iPod Video. In addition, iMac was upgraded to use G5 processors making it a killer of a computer for home and business usage.

It seems like they are not done with it. The latest news in is that the company is planning to launch more and pretty soon too! The company has announced another press conference. This time in New York and it is scheduled for October 19. This is again an invitation only event and the company’s invitation claims that they are inviting as “we unveil Apple’s latest pro innovations.”

Sounds rather exciting indeed. What can it be? An Apple iPhone sounds like a possibility. Even if it were not, it would be the third special product focused event that Apple has held in just over a month. And if that is not innovative, what is! We are still waiting for the innovating Windows Vista from Microsoft. We are still waiting for the Web 2.0 version of Hotmail from Microsoft. And we are still waiting for the company to release a MSN Messenger version that interoperates with Yahoo! Messenger as they announced recently.

” In addition, iMac was upgraded to use G5 processors making it a killer of a computer for home and business usage.”

What is this supposed to mean? The iMac has been using G5 processors for over a year now…

“An Apple iPhone sounds like a possibility.”

I highly doubt that, seeing as how the invitation mentioned “Pro Innovations”… this would lead one to believe they are updating their pro computers (PowerMacs and PowerBooks) and possibly releasing something related to pro industry use, not a consumer phone one month after the ROKR was released…

I’m thinking it’s a new generation of the shuffle. They need a black version and I think they may add a one line monochrome screen.
