Tata launches Indica V2 Turbo DLG and DLX variants

Tata Motors has launched two more variants of their most popular automobile model. Indica has new variants in the form of Indica V2 Turbo DLG and DLX variants. This brings the total number of options available with the customer to around seven. These new variants are available in the market for prices of Rs 4.10 lakh for the DLG variant and Rs 4.31 lakh for DLX (ex-showroom in Delhi).

The company said about this launch that the newer variants made Indica the most comprehensive hatchback model in the country, with the largest number of variants. However, as per our opinion, this just confuses the user into choosing from a rather confusing lot of models and makes the decision tougher to go for that particular car model.

The company however did not confirm any rumor circulating claiming that a price hike is due from the company. Especially after Maruti and Hyundai recently hiked the prices of their popular models. Senior vice president (passenger cars) Rajiv Dube said on this issue: “We will take a call at the appropriate time.”

The company also said that they have been successful in keeping their market ration amongst the competitors and these new variants would help them improve on the sales figure for the Indica model.

Took the test drive of Indica Turbo today. Found it very good as a Diesel car….found it comparable to petrol in terms of perfromance and NVH from inside the car.

It was zooming….and it give more mileage than the same old model…
It is worth the price hike….

I too test drove a Indica Turbo V2.. Power and Punch is there but the same sluggish response while taking the car on a flyover with AC on.
Neither Tata nor the Dealer is giving any discounts on the Turbo model. No accessories.. No insurance.. Nothing.. You pay for the full car and. The DLG variant costs about Rs.4.10 Lac Ex-showrrom in Delhi and by the time its On Road .. you will see you’ve had to shed 50K more … with ZERO accessories…

I have recently bought the Turbo DLX. This car is simply amazing and is already giving me a mileage of 16 in City with a brand new engine. Cant wait to take it on the higway. the engine is a little sluggish below 2000 rpm but once the turbo kicks in, it really flies.

I recommend this car over the getz and the swift any day

    Cheers and happy driving
