Sun Microsystems brings x64 servers to India
Once the dominating players in the server market, Sun Microsystems is now trying hard to keep up with the other market players like HP and IBM. The company has recently moved on to using AMD based x64 processors for their server offerings and are now bringing them to the Indian market. The company has now big aims for this market ready with the latest range of server products.
Sun Microsystems Inc network systems group executive vice president John Fowler said in a statement: “Sun Microsystems plays in the x86 servers which is only about two years old and we have already established ourselves among the top six players in this category. With Galaxy of range, we hope to break into the top four in this category and enhance our position in overall server business.†he was speaking at the launch ceremony of the new server range.
Indian IT market is growing rapidly and there is huge market for products like this. These latest servers from Sun Microsystems are best suited to provide the industries in India with leading edge solutions, ready to meet the demands of mission critical computing as well as rapid growth.
