Canon Ixy digital still camera with built-in Wi-Fi coming this year
Digital media giant Canon is due to come out with their compact Ixy digital still camera with built-in Wi-Fi in Japan this December. They also use the Ixus brand name in some markets for this range of digital cameras. The latest models in this range would come with built in Wi-Fi capabilities enabling the user to automatically transfer pictures to a personal computer via the wireless link as the pictures are taken.
They are also going to make the camera work with a remote control, which would be shipped with the package. The camera should cost around USD 433 when it is launched in the Japanese market. They have further plans to bring it to the US and European markets though have not decided on a launch date yet.
These latest cameras from Canon would also be able to print to wireless printers via a printer adapter that will ship bundled with the camera. The specifications of this new product from the company should match to those of the Ixy Digital 60, which went on sale in September. This means that the new camera should offer a 5-megapixel image sensor and 3X optical zoom lens.
Canon’s competitor Nikon already has two products in the market, which are Wi-Fi capable.

Dear Sir
i bought a digital camera with this serial number SN:2118643315 & model number:IXY DIGITAL 60.
But i have a problem and i don’t know with i shall do. please help me.
When i bought this camera it was including a 16MB SD card and i bought a 128 MMC card and it was working properly. But after a month i bought a 1GB sd card more but unfortunately may camera doesn’t work with this new one and tells “card locked” and also it’s not working with 16MB original SD card. And it’s still working with MMC 128MB card. i checked the lock key of both cards and both are not locked.
I’ll re thankful to reactive your soon reply, because I don’t know what shall i do.
