Tata and their Rs. 1 lakh car
Tata generated much curiosity when they announced their plans to make a car, which would cost around Rs. 1 lakh (USD 2325). Well, it has been quite sometime and they have still not achieved their goal. However, they have somewhat released some details on how they plan to go about it in the next couple of years. Latest reports in say that the company expects their one lakh rupee car to be out by 2008.
The company also said in a statement that the product capacities of this model could be enhanced to 1 million units in a short period of time once the car rolls out in the market. The dream project of Mr. Ratan Tata as a result is being carefully managed by the company and they would not like to end up with shortage of supplies.
Tata Motors Managing Director Ravi Kant said in a statement: “There is good potential for making one million mini cars in the future. We will manufacture mini cars in India, although we have received requests from abroad for setting up production facilities there.†The company plans to setup several assembly units across the country with a centralized location supplying the engines and other parts.
Tata has also said that they have earmarked around Rs 6,000 crores for their automobile related projects for the next four year.

Sir iam a player ,and intrested in making new models with clay and crreating new designs for cars , but till now i did not shown to any one , so , i think my time has come , and interested to share my ideas with TATA MOTORS , So that , i can get some reconition.sir i have few ideas about the one lak rupees car ,so, will i get any chance to share ideas with TATA.
