Microsoft brings new features to MSN Shopping
Software giant and the operators of the MSN web portal Microsoft has updated their shopping site MSN Shopping looking at the rush expected from the upcoming shopping season in the United States. Microsoft announced that they have added comparison-shopping tools to its MSN portal.
MSN has collaborated with sites like PriceGrabber.com and Shopping.com and this enables them to increase in the number of retailers and products offered on the site. As per Microsoft, they now have seven times the number of retailers and 35 times the number of products on MSN Shopping.
Jim Barr, general manager for MSN Shopping, said in a statement: “I’m excited that MSN is now in the comparison shopping game — we’ve built new, powerful tools to make it quick, easy and fun for shoppers to find what they are looking for from one of the largest selections available online.â€
MSN is also planning to integrate MSN Shopping with their MSN Search Engine. This would be similar to Froogle’s integration to Google search engine, which let users to see related shopping items on search engine results page.
