Snocap collaborates with Warner Music

Napster founder Shawn Fanning sometime back launched its new U.S. digital media company named Snocap to enter the lucrative market of selling music online. The latest news from the company’s front is that they have gone into collaboration with Warner Music Group Corporation and they would now be an authorized distributor of Warner’s music across Snocap-enabled retail services.

This latest addition means that Snocap now has deals with all the four of the world’s largest record companies. They have already successfully collaborated with Sony BMG, Vivendi Universal’s Universal Music, and EMI Group Plc. In addition, they have also gone in deals with independent labels to add some spice to their offer of digital content on the web.

The company uses fingerprinting technology to identify and track music. They aim to give the customer enough freedom as they get by downloading pirated music without letting them share the music on the internet. In fact, they are also offering a lot of flexibility to their partners. Labels and artists can manage online distribution through Snocap’s copyright management system after registering music and copyright information in Snocap’s database.
