PiperJaffray believes Apple iPhone can arrive in 12 to 18 months

Apple fans who were disappointed with the launch of a mediocre Motorola Rokr mobile phone with Apple iTunes application loaded on it have some hope. Apple launched the mobile they developed in collaboration with Motorola along with their fabulous iPod nano product. While, the iPod nano is a hit, the Motorola Rokr phone has been quite a disappointment with the public.

After the experts slammed the Rokr, their were reports in the media that Apple just might have launched this product to test the market for a mobile phone with Music playing ability. And, an iPhone from Apple could be planned for the future. Now, PiperJaffray analyst Gene Munster has claimed that such a mobile phone from the Macintosh maker can enter the mobile phone marketplace within 12 to 18 months.

They have also claimed that future will see Apple integrating Mac, iPod, AirPort Express, and other devices with wireless technology. This could also include audio, photo, and video content. Also, there are possibilities that Apple would integrate Tivo like functionality in their Macintosh range of computers.

Munster also predicted that in five years, Apple would be capable enough to produce a 1TB iPod offering wireless capabilities making it a portable coffee-table media center.
