Apple iPod to be a hit this holiday season: Analysts
Macintosh maker Apple is going to break all previous records set by themselves this holiday season with the sales of their music player iPod. The holiday season is very critical for the retailers in the market. It can make or break companies, drastically change their revenue figures. Even a popular device like iPod has to sell in huge numbers to surpass the market expectations of Apple would suffer in the share market.
Apple is also banking heavily on the sales of iPods during this holiday season. They have launched some really cool variants of the digital music player in the form of iPod nano and iPod Video. While, nano is a miniscule product running on flash memory, iPod Video enables the user to watch videos and movies on the go.
They also have a point to prove. Many experts believe that the time of the domination of the iPod is coming to its end. Many more players are here in the market with some excellent products and for a change, users would go for a better value for money product rather than the cult icon. Apple iPod has dominated the holiday season for way too long and Apple has continued evolving the product to keep people interested into getting one for themselves.
However, the way Apple has approached this coming festive season with two totally new product launches, they might have won the war yet again. They are expected to totally sell out their stocks of iPods and with product available in all sizes and prices; consumer will not have much to complain about either.
