Chrysler raises incentives to prospective customers
The American auto companies are continuing to face the competition from Japanese companies and are resorting to offering discounts and incentives to prospective customers. General Motors recently announced their latest price cuts to their customers and the latest is that Chrysler itself has now announced their consumer incentives to attract more buyers to their showrooms.
Chrysler representative Kevin McCormick said that starting next Monday the automaker would offer U.S. car buyers a debit card with $2,367 in credit to use toward the purchase of gasoline. The company would also be offering car buyers free scheduled maintenance and an extended five-year, or 60,000-mile warranty.
This latest offer is to remain through January 3. This date matches the ending dates of the schemes announced by their competitors General Motors and Ford Motors. The Chrysler offer applies to 2005 and 2006 Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles. However, The Dodge Viper, Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger, Dodge Sprinter, and all S-R-T-8 vehicles are excluded from the offer.
