Boeing expected to get more aircrafts order from China

U.S. President George W. Bush is visiting the Chinese capital of Beijing this week. And the visit is expected to generate more new orders for the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing. The Chinese government is expected to place orders of around 150 aircraft from Boeing Co. during this visit from the United States President.

This new order could help the America offset a ballooning trade deficit with China, which could top $200 billion this year. China is expected to pay as much as $6.5 billion, after discounts for this fairly large order for the Boeing planes. These orders are expected to be for the Boeing’s popular 737 family of aircraft. This information was released in the media by the South China Morning Post.

No official sources have confirmed these market rumors. This expected order could however include a previous placed order for 45 planes by the China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. None of the airline companies in China has commented on these reports in the media. South China Morning Post has also reported citing certain senior aviation sources that the country is also expected to buy up to 400 single-aisle aircraft in the next year to revamp the mainland’s aging short-haul fleet.
