Honda launches Honda City VTEC in India

Honda’s Indian subsidiary Honda Siel Cars India Limited has launched the much-awaited Honda City VTEC model in the Indian market. The leading manufacturer of premium and luxury cars in the automobile industry in India has added this variant to the existing new-look City range of City ZX. Honda had recently upgraded their new look City car to meet the consumer demands for better performing engines.

Honda City model has overtaken all competition in fuel efficiency and performance and is the most sought after sedan in its segment. Ford Motors India has recently launched their own much-awaited Ford Fiesta in this particular segment to provide competition to Honda and their City model. National Sales Manager, Honda Siel Cars India Limited Arvind Bhatnagar said during the launch ceremony: “We are glad to offer the advantages of the revolutionary VTEC engine in combination with the futuristic design of the City ZX.”

He added: “The initial response to the new range has also been very encouraging and we have already received over 2000 bookings for City ZX”. Honda City ZX now includes four variants – EXi, GXi, CVT (Automatic Transmission) and VTEC. EXi, GXi, and CVT variants come with the advanced combustion system of the 1.5 liter intelligent Dual and Sequential Ignition (i-DSI) engine. And the City VTEC embodies a 1.5-liter VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) engine.
