Chennai-Singapore flight from Jet Airways
More international flights are originating from the country as now Jet Airways has announced the launch of a daily flight service between Chennai and Singapore. The flight would be operational from December 7. This flight between Chennai and Singapore would be the company’s third international flight service out of Chennai.
Jet Airways currently also offer flights to Colombo and Kuala Lumpur. Jet Airways has also announced the inaugural Economy Class return fare of Rs 12,000 on the Chennai-Singapore route. They are currently expecting a passenger load factor of 75 per cent in the first four months on the Chennai-Singapore leg.
They put the break-even load on the sector at around 63% so they should be fairly happy with the amount of traffic on the circuit. The company is betting on the fact that the timing of the flights would be benefiting the passengers as it would leave from Chennai in the morning and reach Singapore early evening (local time). The return from Singapore would be early afternoon arrival at Chennai.
Jet Airways would be deploying a B737-800 aircraft, with 16 seats in business class and 124 seats in economy class on this route.
