Suzuki to continue investing in Haryana
Suzuki is the dominating auto player in the Indian market through their operations with Maruti. The company has a majority stake in the Indian auto market and it is improving with sales of Alto and Swift models impressing the experts. Now, the company has assured the Haryana government that they plan to continue their investment in the Haryana region where their current plants are located.
Suzuki Chairman, Osamu Suzuki, gave the assurance to Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda at a business meeting at the company’s headquarters at Hamamatsu. Suzuki is a major stockholder in the Maruti Suzuki group and they are planning to establish a diesel engine manufacturing unit here.
Interestingly, Osamu Suzuki also promised to make Gurgaon, the Detroit of India! Now, these are interesting claims. The city already holds the distinction of being the favorite of BPO companies and with further interests from a global giants like Suzuki, the city can look forward to interesting times.
Suzuki also announced that they are in the process of completing three projects on a 600-acre land allotted to Maruti Udyog by the Haryana Industrial Development Corporation at IMT, Manesar.
