Microsoft establishes a new unit in Bangalore

Microsoft chairperson Bill Gates was on a visit to India and he inaugurated his company’s latest establishment in India in the IT city of Bangalore. The latest Microsoft unit in India is located in a seven-storey building in Bangalore, equipped with world-class infrastructure. Bill Gates highlighted Microsoft’s commitment to India and said: “This new building signals our confidence in the future of this relationship and our intent to provide our employees with the best possible environment and resources.”

He also highlighted the fact that Microsoft over the years has received tremendous support from the Indian government and states where their facilities are located. Bill Gates added: ”Our business has grown in India as a result of the strong technical and skilled resources available in the state”.

This new unit from the world’s largest software company would team up with Microsoft’s global customer service and support organizations as well as product and services marketing team of the Indian unit. The inauguration was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.

The Karnataka government expressed their commitment to ensure greater IT usage across sectors in the state and applauded the efforts taken by Microsoft in India.
