Internet searching has become a very lucrative field in the market with companies like Google showing that it can be awesomely profitable and strengthening.

A study group has been setup that would meet this month with participation from more than 20 companies and universities. This would include representatives from Matsushita Electric Industrial, Hitachi, NEC, and Fujitsu as well as telecom carrier Nippon Telegraph, Telephone, and public broadcaster NHK.

An official from the trade ministry said in a statement: “Information searches have become a source of wealth. We want to consider what Japanese companies can do in the current situation where overseas forces are dominant. Japanese companies should have competitive power.
