Skoda India appoints Lukas Folc as new MD
Volkswagen owned Czech automaker Skoda has had an amazing inning in the Indian market. The company entered here with their fabulous model Octavia and had an impressive debut. Indians fell in love with this car, which offered excellent value for money, and the company in the later stages introduced another excellent product in the form of Skoda Superb.
The company recently launched the updated model of Octavia and named it Skoda Laura. Interestingly, instead of replacing the existing Octavia model, which is a tad smaller than the Laura is, they are offering both the products in different segments for the Indian consumer giving them more choices and value range. Laura has received rave reviews from the Indian auto experts and also has received a European award for being the most beautiful car in the world.
Skoda India is now changing its top management as they aim to expand their operations in the Indian market. The company has just announced that the SkodaIndia Chief of Finance, Mr. Lukas Folc would be taking over as the new Managing Director of the company. He would be replacing Mr. Imran Hasse who would now be returning to European operations of the company.
This change is coming into effect from the first of next month.
