Suzuki Solio along with Escudo at Auto Expo
Maruti had already announced that they would be bringing in the little cousin of the Suzuki Vitara model, Suzuki Escudo at the upcoming Auto Expo next month. Now the latest news in is that the company would also be showcasing the hatchback Suzuki Solio along with the rally version of the hugely popular Maruti Suzuki Swift model currently on sale in the Indian market.
Suzuki has already launched the Escudo model in the international market earlier this year. Maruti is expected to launch it to complement Suzuki Vitara in a slightly cheaper segment of the SUV market in India. Escudo is expected to be powered by a 2-litre and a 2.7-litre engine. Interestingly, Suzuki is also selling this particular vehicle as Vitara in some of their markets worldwide.
Suzuki Solio on the other hand is essentially a variant of their existing model in the Indian market, Wagon R. it has got special accessories for the disabled to carry wheelchairs and rotating seats. In addition, the company would be showcasing the rally model of their Maruti Suzuki Swift model. Also on display would be the single-seater formula series car ‘Hayabusa’, famous on the motor sport circuit.
Maruti is also planning to provide simulators at its pavilion, which will help visitors, evaluate their driving skills after a three-minute virtual ride.
