Actually its a redesign of the Yahoo! website… CNet has a screenshot available on its site! Its not publically available at the moment and the changes are not exactly revolutionary. Also, the interface does not exactly look like a tableless layout like AOL has got since some time.

Yahoo! Homepage Preview

As per Search Engine Journal:

The move also puts more emphasis on the Yahoo brand and also draws the users eye to the Yahoo search box, making it the focal point of the site. Yahoo has recently been showcasing its Yahoo Search across the entire Yahoo network after dumping Google as their main search result tool and integrating Overture search ads and Yahoo Search Technology into the rest of the Yahoo Channels.

It’s about time that Yahoo put search more in the face of their users, and the home page is the place to put it.

    Yahoo has gotten alot better since it purchased AltaVista.com and AllTheWeb.com, which were acquired through the Overture.com AKA Go-To.com purchase last year… Now they combined the technologies (BORG assimilation) into their main Yahoo search engine…
