Nissan to showcase Urge concept vehicle with Microsoft Xbox 360
Nissan Motor Company plans to develop a concept vehicle which would come equipped with the recently launched next generation gaming console from the software giant Microsoft. The model is expected to be called Urge and it would be equipped with the Xbox 360 gaming console. This is just another of the moves from the automakers to lure in the new generation of customers who want something more from their cars.
The Urge would come with a flip-down, seven-inch monitor. This would let the drivers play games like Project Gotham Racing 3 while sitting inside the car when it is turned off. The concept is innovative in a way that instead of using regular controllers, driver would be able to use the Urge’s steering wheel, gasoline pedal and break pedal to control the game’s cars and other features.
To make this feature edition secure, Nissan would make sure that the gaming machine could not used until its parked and switched off. Bruce Campbell, vice president of design for Nissan’s North American unit said in a statement about their concept vehicle: “Xbox 360 offered the latest in technology and was already a favorite among this audienceâ€. They decided to make such a concept vehicle after surveying 2,000 young adults about features they want in their cars.
