Bajaj Auto to release variants of their models this year

Bajaj Auto is one of the largest two wheeler companies in India and they are currently rocking the market with their Pulsar and Discover model. They are now also planning to extend their reach in the Indian market and are aiming to launch several new variants of their existing models.

The Regional Manager of Bajaj Auto, Soumyo Dutta Gupta said in a statement that Bajaj is aiming to increase the number of variants of their popular models in the market to offer more value for money products to their Indian customers.

The company is also aiming to double the sales of their recently launched hugely popular model Discover. The target is to sell at least 50,000 units of this model in the Indian market monthly. They recently launched a scaled down variant of Bajaj Discover with a 110 cc engine at a price of Rs 39,000.

In addition, Bajaj is also hoping to improve upon their market share in this segment, which stands at 31%.

    the bajaj pulsar 200cc dts-fi will be launched in june-july 06. The 250 cc unit will be launched at the end of the current year. Have no idea about the price.

    hi im ankit.i just wana add up that d bajaj bikes r d best 4 indian roads,they r full of passion n adrelin rush which a youngster looks 4.well, my only complaint is that bajaj does d advertisements 4 its bike real late..bajaj bikes r 2 die 4,so u need 2 put d ads on air a little fast.i do acknowledge that d ads r superb.
    1 more thing recently d legendry bajaj chetek’s production has been stoppd so is d company lookin forwrd 2 launch a new scooter.if yes,then best of luck 4 it.

    Hi u pulsar lovers there here are a few facts u ought 2 know. People think pulsar is the best pick in the 150+ cc range but sadly it has only style and no quality at all. Frankly i got some comments from bajaj dealers, service-persons, etc itself who say that the bike turely lacks quality. If u want to know the exact status of the bike just ask those who already own it and you will be told that it has a CRAMPED ENGINE & GEARBOX, POOR MILEAGE AT EVEN MODERATELY HIGH SPEEDS(70-90KMPH ITSELF), VERY UNCOMFORTABLE RIDRES & PILLION SEATING POSITION (BETTER HAVE A HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY FOR UR BACK). Last but the most important that after a couple of years even a 100-125cc bike will be in a better status than ur 180,180dts-fi also.

    Seriously u guys should surf the net a lil better..what is the use of just sitting on rumors u fools?
    use google properly and u will find that the new pulsar has an engine capacity of 220cc, a top whack of 135kph, power of 20ps, front AND rear disk brakes, fuel injection (ofcourse) and tubeless tyres.

    and no it doesnt have hayabusa type indicators but the rear view mirrors are now on the front fairing (like the blackbird) and not ont he handlebars. Also, the speedo is digital..now dont say that its like karizma cos Karizma DOES not have a digi SPEEDOMETER, only a fuel indicator…while the new pulsar has a digi SPEEDOMETER and a analogue TACHOMETER..i sure hope u fools understand those words.
    Oh, the handlebars are clip-on handlebars..again in fool-language, they r like the real sports bikes.

    this is not ex-showroom but tis the OTR price..i.e incl of all taxes.

    Hey Their this bike is very cool n awesome but their r two things which just pinches me the rear sittin cusion n the fearin, the rear cusion is just lifted upwards it must have been lifted a l’il bit more then the riders cusion that would have had given it a more sporty look n the ferin for me seems to be mounted a bit higher it must have been mounted a bit lower but overall its a monster ready to burn the tar hatsoff to bajaj for launchin this bike this monster is really gonna kill Karizma
